Webstore Policy
Plant It Forward conducts online sales of merchandise, fresh produce (local sales only) and plants (local sales only). The following policies apply to all Plant It Forward web store sales, with the exception of Farm Shares and Cupboard Shares (see the Member-Farmer Agreement for Share-specific policies).
Refund Policy
All online sales are final sale. Refunds will only be processed for defective merchandise. The customer must notify Plant It Forward via email at info@plant-it-forward.org within 10 business days of receiving the product to be eligible for return and refund of defective merchandise. Live plants and fresh produce items are not eligible for refund.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of your order may take place within 48 hours of when the order was placed. Contact info@plant-it-forward.org if you need to cancel your order.
Pre-Order Items
Some products listed online will be marked as PRE-ORDER. Pre-order products are not currently available and may take up to 60 business days to be delivered. By purchasing a pre-order product the customer agrees to expect a delay in that product’s delivery. Read product descriptions carefully to understand the anticipated first delivery date.
Gift Cards and Digital Gift Vouchers
Farm Share gift cards and digital gift vouchers can be purchased in our web store year-round! Physical gift cards are subject to a shipping fee while digital gift vouchers are transferred electronically (via email) at no extra cost. For digital gift vouchers, please specify in your order comments the name and email address of the gift recipient. Plant It Forward will email the gift voucher to the gift recipient, and send an email confirmation to the purchaser.
Shipping
For large shipped orders Plant It Forward may reach out via email after a completed transaction to collect additional shipping fees if required.
Donation Farm Shares
Donation Farm Shares can be purchased in our web store! Plant It Forward partners with food recovery organizations including Second Servings to bring our fresh produce to folks in need. Your donation helps ensure Plant It Forward farmers are paid a fair price for their product while enabling individuals and families in need to access the highest-quality fresh food. You can make this donation in honor of a friend or family member: let us know in the order comments and we’ll send a card letting them know! Please specify in your order comments the name and email address/physical address of the gift recipient(s).
Local Pick-Up
For Houston-area customers, local pick-up of your web store order is available from our Southwest Houston warehouse located at 4030 Willowbend Blvd, Houston, TX, 77025. Plant It Forward will reach out to you via email to coordinate your pick-up day.

The purpose of this notice is to explain the practices and procedures we implement to protect your personal information, the way we use this information, and the choices you can make regarding our use of your personal information.
Information Collection
You may browse Plant It Forward’s website without submitting personal information. However, if you choose to sign up for our newsletter, buy items or donate to Plant It Forward, you may be asked for applicable personal data such as your name, address, email address, phone number, or payment information. This data is collected to process inquiries, purchases, or donations made online. If you need to contact us to review personal information collected and/or request corrections, please email info@plant-it-forward.org.
Payment Details Security
When you purchase from or donate to Plant It Forward, your privacy is important to us. Your payment information is secured by our third-party processors PayPal, Stripe, Worldpay or CheckCommerce. These companies adhere to strict industry standards for payment processing. Your payment details are processed by default as singular transactions and are not stored, unless you choose an automatically recurring subscription or donation. You will see the “closed” lock symbol in either the status bar or address bar of your browser when you are on our secure donation pages. You will also notice in your browser’s address bar that the URL starts with “https” on those transaction pages. This means that information entered on those pages is encrypted for your security.
