Sheryl Abrahams, Director
Sheryl earned her BA from Rice University and her Master of Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has authored peer-reviewed articles in public health and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkmenistan. In addition to her time in the Peace Corps, she’s lived abroad with her family in Belgium and speaks both French and Turkmen. She’s an active community volunteer locally where she serves as a docent with the Houston Museum of Natural Science; a volunteer with the Refugee Women’s Empowerment Group at Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston; a member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston; a volunteer with The Post Oak School; and a cook with Lasagna Love. Her favorite PIF veggie is cauliflower!
