Interested in growing your farming skills and business knowledge?

Plant It Forward is partnering with several organizations to design and deliver 8 short courses designed to develop your farming and business skills. Courses are required for PIF Apprentices, but are open to other immigrants/refugees who are farming or want to begin. 

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Of immigrant background (preference former refugee)

Classes

Each course is valued at $350. PIF will provide full scholarship for those accepted. Space is limited and registration is required.  Classes meet weekly on Tuesdays during the indicated dates. Each class is 1.5-3 hours. If you are interested in taking a course, please complete the interest form below. We’ll be in contact with you!

Want to learn more about farming? 

PIF is excited to welcome its second Apprenticeship Program cohort in the Fall 2025! Through hands-on farm work, farmer mentorship, training sessions, and short courses, PIF’s Apprenticeship Program will provide each apprentice with the necessary business and farming skills to launch their own agricultural enterprise. Four apprentices will be selected for the 2025/2026 program. Applications will open on June 2, 2025 and close on July 11, 2025.
