Louamba Sustainable Farm

Louamba Sustainable Farm is owned and operated by Sarment Louamba and Henriette Ngangoula. They are originally from the Republic of Congo (aka Congo-Brazzaville). They fled their home and spent time in Kinshasa, DRC before living for ten years as refugees in Moanda, Gabon. While in Gabon, Sarment worked as a truck driver and as a window assembler before he and Henriette turned to farming.

They speak English, French, Lari, Lingala, and Munukutuba. In 2010, the family resettled to Houston. Sarment says of living in Houston “I truly enjoy being a farmer here. It is my life.”

Sarment and Henriette farm at PIF Westbury. You can purchase their produce through our Farm Share or every Saturday at the Memorial Villages Farmers Market
