Jean McWeeney, Director

Jean is a retired software development manager and UT-Austin grad who is passionate about ensuring small farmers can make a sustainable living, food justice, and animal and environmental causes. She helped to start the Ruston Farmers Market in Ruston, Louisiana, as well as North Louisiana Farm Fresh, a nonprofit organization that she led for several years. Her favorite thing about Houston is our food in all of its diversity! Her favorite PIF produce are potatoes in winter and tomatoes in summer.
